Wikipedia teaches me that Mountain View is a city located in Santa Clara County, in the U.S. state of California, USA. The city gets its name from the views of the Santa Cruz Mountains. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 70,708. It is one of the major cities that make up Silicon Valley.
- Google headquarters (the Googleplex), the Mozilla Foundation/Mozilla Corporation, Microsoft’s MSN/Hotmail/Xbox/MSNTV divisions, Intuit, Silicon Graphics and NASA Ames Research Center are just a few of the high tech institutions that are located in Mountain View.
- Mountain View is the first city in the United States which will be entirely covered by a free wireless Internet access network provided by Google. The antennas are being installed at this time.
